Five Secretes to Prolong the Service Life of Wood Hammer Mill
Wood hammer mill is an important pre-processing equipment for pelletizing equipment plant. It can process wood, branch and other raw materials into sawdust with small parameter so that they can be pelletized. Wood hammer mill has the advantages of less investment, low energy consumption, high production efficiency, excellent economic benefits, convenient maintenance and so on.
How can we extend the service life of the wood hammer mill?
In the operation of wood hammer mill, because of a severe beating and impact, many parts are affected by wear or deformation. Some customers said that the frame of the wood hammer mill was deformed, when buying, the manufacturer said it was durable steel, but after a period of time, the stent is distorted, and the inside of the bearing also began to deformation. The customer's feedback is closely related to the quality of the wood hammer mill itself, it also related with the operation and maintenance method of the owner. So how can we extend the service life of the wood hammer mill?
1. Control the quantity of wood raw material
The material does not reciprocate in the drum of wood hammer mill, that is to say, the processed material can not be repeatedly crushed in the bin, the material in the drum is quickly removed by the fan, and the result is that the material stored in the drum is too less, which makes it difficult for the material to contact the processing area, and the material are unable to be processed normally. So in sales, wood crusher manufacturers must be responsible for the customer, it is recommended that the customers do not put too much material into the wood hammer mill, but don’t put too little material when testing or starting the machine.
2. Install the wood hammer mill correctly
There are also some wood hammer mill has an inclined inlet, the installation of wood hammer mill is also important, tilt angle must be kept at a certain angle, don’t install the machine arbitrarily. Otherwise, if the distance of the motor is too far, it will result in low utilization of the space in the roller, a large amount of heat is lost, causing unnecessary obstacles to wood processing.
3. Hammer blade
There's no difference between these wood mills from the appearance, but what's the reason that the finished powder is so different? The answer is hammer blade. Our wood hammer mill adopts optimized blade, the claw blade can scatter strength, each blade and shear force are increased, is suitable for crushing thick material and hard material, which effectively improves the cutting force of tools, reduce tool wear.
4. Improve the rigidity
Improve the rigidity of wood hammer mill parts. the stiffness of the weak link of the wood hammer mill has a great influence on the stiffness of the whole pelletizing system, it can be solved by adding auxiliary support. Through the center frame of the wood hammer mill or the tool rest to improve the stiffness of the bearing.
Improve contact stiffness of wood hammer mill parts, the contact stiffness of the general wood hammer mill parts is much lower than the stiffness of the parts themselves, therefore, improving the contact stiffness is the key to improve the stiffness of the whole wood hammer mill process system. There are two commonly used methods:
- Reduce the surface roughness of crushing chamber of wood hammer mill, improve the matching quality between the bottom of wood hammer mill and the contact surface of each part.
- Reduce the degree of wear and energy dissipation, at the same time, it reduces the deformation and damage of wood hammer mill.
5. Control the temperature
Last but not least, when the wood hammer mill is working, the temperature of the principle axis must be not exceed 65℃, if the temperature is over 65℃, the oil should be changed immediately, if it is still invalid, remove the bearings and clean it with kerosene, and coat with lubricating oil, then start to work. If the blade is blunt or cracked, 4 pieces should be grinded simultaneously, to ensure the balance of the rear cutter head, when the bottom knife is blunt, it should be replaced in time, otherwise it will seriously affect the quality of chipping. Only in this way can the damage and deformation of each part of the wood crusher be reduced.
