Wood pellets are the most common fuel in pellet stove. They are one kind of biomass materials, products from plants and tress. Most wood pellets are made of saw dust, wood chips and other scrapes in furniture and carpentry processing. Besides, agriculture and forestry wastes are also important sources. Wood flour can be pelletized without adding additives, because there are resin and lignin playing the part.

Increasing demand pushes up the price, so more and more people choose to make wood pellets with their own pellet mills. Wood pellets have such irreplaceable advantages:
- With flat die aperture from 2.5 to 10mm, and compression rate adjustable, this portable wood pellet mill is capable of processing a wide range of raw materials.

Feed raw materials in a steady speed to ensure the pelletizing process is smooth. A feeder would be helpful. It can save your physical strength and facilitate pellets production.
Choose suitable flat die. The aperture of flat die depends on what raw material you are going to process. Improper die may give rise to low production and even no discharge. Consult salesmen before making decision.
Lubricate the shaft, gear and joint part from time to time. Rinse the flat die periodically to improve production efficiency.
Keep the pellet mill clean. Clear up the remnant raw materials in the chamber, and the dust and dirt on surface regularly. By doing this, you can extend the working life of portable pelletizing machine.
Adjust the clearance between roller and flat die. Proper stress is essential to making ideal pellets with perfect density and maturation. Usually there are regulator screw on both sides of the wood pellet mill. Keep them balanced and tighten.
